Advertising

Tabaco& Alcohol

In Canada, with the new law, the tabaco is now hidden... so we can't see a lot of advertising. but for the alcohol, is another story! Alcohol has become a major sponsor for several things. Everywhere we can see alcohol advertising example... in college, in bars and on billboards. So it is easier to see advertising about alcohol! In Quebec, the legal age is 18 years old, same as Calgary. I am not a smoker and I think its a great idea that we can't see tabaco advertising.

  1. The most current law regarding advertising of tobacco in Canada was in 2003. Tobacco companies cannot display their advertisements just anywhere, BUT they still are allowed to advertise in bars (washrooms) or places where minors will not see these ads.
